- Upgrade one weapon you enjoy rather than spreading Smithing Stones thin; a fully upgraded mid-tier weapon outperforms a neglected "better" one.

- Explore thoroughly before bosses; nearby caves and catacombs hold the upgrade materials and Ashes that make fights fair.
